The "Lightnin Rod, Lighted Workstop" is patent protected technology that provides a visual indicator of part placement with it's bright 3V Blue LED light.
First, affix the Lightnin Rod to the machining table and place the work piece in contact with the stainless steel locating rod until the blue light illuminates.
When the work piece is in full contact with the locating rod, the blue LED light shines brightly.
A gap of .0003" or more between the work piece and locating rod signals the LED light off, providing a visual indicator to the operator of a shift in the work piece.
Table mount and arm allow for flexibility as you place the Lightnin Rod anywhere on your maching table for precise locating.
